Yakima Roof Bike Racks Review - 2018 hyundai ioniq

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Ionic, we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima HighRoad roof-top mounted bike rack. This is part number Y02114. The first thing you will notice about this is that it's a wheel-mounted bike rack, so that means that it's going to hold our bike by its front wheel. This is nice because we don't have to take that front wheel off, and it's also going to eliminate the need for any bike frame contact because it's just going to clamp around that wheel. To get that in place, we've got this torque knob here. Once it's tight, it's just going to click and stop tightening, and then you'll know that you have it tightened down all the way.We also have our wheel strap at the back to go around that rear wheel to secure that down. more

What's nice about this gripping it by the force or your thru-axles, is that fact that you're not going to have any contact with your bikes, so it won't have to risk any damage with your carbon frame bikes as well.At the rear, we're going to have these wheel straps to hold them in place. These are adjustable along the length of the bike rack to accommodate bikes of different sizes. more
